At Crazy Iron, we are particularly interested in working with motorcycles built for professional stunt riding. These machines experience forces and operating conditions that ordinary street motorcycles rarely encounter.

Crash cages, CNC triple clamps, adjustable clip-on handlebars, rearsets, handbrake caliper brackets, and stunt subcages are precisely the types of specialized components that help transform a Kawasaki ZX-6R into a professional stunt bike.

Danila Zhelanov — From His First Tricks to International Championships

Danila’s journey into motorsports began long before his first competition. According to event organizers, he has been riding motorcycles since the age of three and has been involved in stunt riding since 2008.

Like most professional riders, he started with practice: learning wheelies, stoppies, turns, and other fundamental techniques. Gradually, individual tricks developed into complex combinations, and training sessions evolved into a professional competitive career.

In 2014, Danila finished second at the INTERIO Stunt Cup in the Street class and became runner-up at the Eastern European Stunt Riding Championship.

In 2015, he took another silver medal at the INTERIO Stunt Cup, this time in the category for motorcycles up to 598 cc.

In 2016, Zhelanov won IMIS Stunt Day in the Open class.

The following years brought even greater international experience. In 2018, Danila participated in the World Championship, finished fifth at the European Championship, and took third place in the final round of the Russian Stunt Riding Championship in the PRO class.

In 2019, his performance at Stunt Wars Poland earned him the Best Trick award.

These results speak for themselves. Danila is not simply someone who can ride a motorcycle on one wheel. He has spent years competing against some of the strongest stunt riders in Russia and Europe.

His Own Style, His Own Technique

Professional stunt riding is about much more than wheelies and burnouts.

During competitions, riders are judged on the difficulty of their tricks, execution, combinations, transitions, and overall performance.

A professional rider must constantly maintain the motorcycle’s balance while precisely controlling the throttle, clutch, and brakes, often while moving around the motorcycle in extremely unusual positions.

The techniques include circle wheelies, stoppies, controlled drifting, transitions between different riding positions, and complex acrobatic combinations.

Danila is known for his technical approach to training and his willingness to master increasingly difficult tricks.

Stuntex videos show him practicing advanced maneuvers alongside other professional riders, including tricks such as Kangaroo and Shuffle 360.

For spectators, these moves may last only a few seconds. For the athlete, they represent weeks or months of training, hundreds of attempts, and continuous technical improvement.

Rivalry with Foma Kalinin and the Spirit of Stunt Riding

One particularly interesting episode in Danila’s career took place during Stunt Zaruba, where he competed against Foma Kalinin.

During their intense competition, Danila experienced a technical problem with his motorcycle. Remarkably, Foma — his direct competitor — was the first person to offer assistance.

After the issue was resolved, Danila returned to the competition. Foma ultimately took the victory, but the story perfectly illustrates the atmosphere of professional stunt riding: riders compete fiercely on the asphalt while supporting one another off the course.

Danila and Foma later performed together on numerous occasions.

In 2023, they presented a joint program at the Russian Stunt Riding Championship, performing synchronized professional motorcycle tricks.

Such performances require not only exceptional individual skill but also an almost perfect understanding of a partner’s movements and timing.

Beyond Competition: Stunt Shows, Film Work, and Motorcycle Training

Danila’s professional activities extend far beyond competitive stunt riding.

He performs at major motorcycle festivals, participates in stunt filming, and takes part in professional motorcycle stunt shows.

In 2024, Danila performed alongside Foma Kalinin at the Moto Drive festival at the Igora Drive motorsport complex.

He has also participated in performances with LEGEND STUNT TEAM, a professional group known for large-scale motorcycle stunt shows.

Another important part of his career is motorcycle instruction.

Danila works as an instructor at Marat Kankadze’s motorcycle riding school, sharing his experience and practical knowledge with other riders.

Performing extremely difficult motorcycle tricks and teaching someone else how to control a motorcycle are two very different skills. Danila has successfully combined both.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R — A Motorcycle Built for Professional Stunt Riding

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has long been one of the popular platforms for professional stunt bike builds.

Its powerful inline-four engine, compact construction, and sport-oriented geometry make it an attractive starting point for stunt riding modifications.

However, transforming a production motorcycle into a professional stunt bike requires extensive preparation.

During wheelies, stoppies, drifting, and advanced acrobatic combinations, the frame, suspension, brakes, and mounting points experience forces very different from those encountered during normal road riding.

This is exactly why Crazy Iron develops specialized motorcycle stunt parts and protective equipment.

Crazy Iron Crash Cage — Engine and Frame Protection

The Crazy Iron stunt crash cage is one of the most important components when preparing a Kawasaki ZX-6R for professional stunt riding.

Crashes are an unavoidable part of the training process, even for highly experienced riders, especially when learning new and challenging tricks.

A crash cage provides additional contact points and helps reduce the risk of damage to the engine, frame, and other vulnerable motorcycle components.

Crazy Iron crash cages are engineered with careful consideration of mounting points, impact force distribution, and the geometry of each specific motorcycle model.

At the same time, the design must provide enough clearance for the rider to move freely and perform technical maneuvers without unnecessary restrictions.

Crazy Iron Triple Clamps — Precise Front-End Geometry

Crazy Iron CNC triple clamps connect the front forks to the steering stem, maintaining the correct positioning and alignment of the front suspension components.

In professional stunt riding, the front suspension is subjected to substantial loads during stoppies, hard braking, and landings.

Manufacturing precision, accurate geometry, and reliable mounting are particularly important under these conditions.

Crazy Iron triple clamps are manufactured using CNC machining technology, allowing precise control over dimensions, mounting surfaces, and component fitment.

Crazy Iron Adjustable Clip-On Handlebars

Crazy Iron adjustable stunt clip-ons allow riders to customize handlebar positioning to suit their individual riding techniques.

In stunt riding, the rider’s hand position often differs significantly from conventional street riding.

Athletes constantly shift their body weight, move around the motorcycle, and perform tricks that require precise control of the throttle, clutch, and brakes.

Adjustable handlebar angles and positioning allow riders to find their preferred control geometry.

Even relatively small adjustments can noticeably change how a motorcycle feels during demanding stunt combinations.

Crazy Iron Adjustable Rearsets

** Crazy Iron adjustable rearsets** make it possible to customize footpeg positioning for the specific demands of stunt riding.

For professional stunt riders, footpegs are much more than ordinary footrests.

They serve as important support points when shifting body weight, changing riding positions, and performing various technical maneuvers.

Adjustability is particularly valuable for athletes who have developed their own preferred motorcycle ergonomics.

CNC-machined construction, precise geometry, and secure mounting help provide stable foot support under intensive riding conditions.

Crazy Iron Handbrake Caliper Bracket — Rear Brake Control

The Crazy Iron stunt handbrake caliper bracket is designed to mount an additional brake caliper to the motorcycle’s rear wheel assembly.

In professional stunt riding, a hand-operated rear brake is one of the most important control modifications.

During advanced wheelies and acrobatic combinations, the rider may be positioned in a way that makes operating the standard rear brake pedal impossible.

An additional handbrake system allows rear braking to be controlled directly from a handlebar-mounted lever.

This provides an essential means of managing the motorcycle’s balance point and controlling rear-wheel braking during complex tricks.

The handbrake caliper bracket ensures accurate caliper positioning relative to the brake disc and is designed to handle the forces generated during braking.

Crazy Iron Subcage — Rear Motorcycle Protection

The Crazy Iron stunt subcage is a specialized protective structure designed for the rear section of a stunt motorcycle.

It helps reduce the risk of damage to certain rear components during crashes and provides additional support points for specific stunt maneuvers.

In professional stunt riding, the strength of the structure is only one part of the equation.

Its geometry, support-point positioning, and overall usability are equally important.

Crazy Iron subcages are developed with these requirements in mind, taking into account the construction and characteristics of each motorcycle model.

Crazy Iron — Equipment for Serious Stunt Riding

Professional stunt motorcycles differ from ordinary street bikes in much more than appearance.

Every specialized component has a specific purpose.

A crash cage helps reduce damage during falls. Triple clamps maintain precise front-end geometry. Adjustable clip-ons and rearsets allow riders to fine-tune their ergonomics. A handbrake bracket makes additional rear brake control possible, while a subcage provides protection for the rear of the motorcycle.

Danila Zhelanov’s career is an excellent example of how important both rider skill and proper motorcycle preparation are in professional stunt riding.

Behind his victories and spectacular performances are years of training, discipline, and extensive practical experience.

At Crazy Iron, our job is to develop and manufacture professional motorcycle stunt parts capable of operating under the demanding conditions of intensive training and performance.
